Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Rebels confront the East Jefferson Warriors (Metairie, LA) in a Division II District 8 challenge, on Thursday, January 20. Riverdale will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Newman (New Orleans, LA).

The Spartans now have a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Franklinton for a Division II District 7 challenge on Friday, January 21.
