San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting V.R. Eaton Eagles (Fort Worth, TX), 60-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, San Angelo Central upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Lubbock-Cooper won 70-43 in their recent non-league bout against Del Valle (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. V.R. Eaton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 70-40 non-league win over Heritage (Littleton, CO).
