Plainwell Trojans (Plainwell, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Portage Northern Huskies (Portage, MI), 46-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Plainwell upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI) to play the Bulldogs in a Wolverine B bout on Friday, February 25. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-12.

Next up, the Huskies play the St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI) in a Southwestern Michigan - West bout, on Friday, February 18. Portage Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 65-51 non-league win over Berrien Springs (Berrien Springs, MI).
