North Carolina High School Basketball - Kings Mountain succumbs to Shelby

February 9, 2015: Shelby, NC 28152

The Shelby Golden Lions topped the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers basketball team by a final score of 53-41 in Monday's league game.

In their next game, the Golden Lions face the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a 3A/2A South Mountain game, on Tuesday, February 10. Shelby will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 13-10 record after their 74-53 league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).

With the defeat, Kings Mountain moves to 8-14 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to face the Cavaliers in a 3A/2A South Mountain game on Friday, February 13. The Cavaliers enter the game with a record of 14-9. East Burke won 75-35 in their recent league game against Chase (Forest City, NC)
