Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA), 54-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Islands upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Sharks host Wayne County (Jesup, GA) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a AAAA Region 3 bout on Friday, January 13. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Wayne County won 38-27 in their recent league bout against New Hampstead (Savannah, GA)

Next up, the Lions clash with the John Paul II Golden Warrriors (Ridgeland, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. St. Andrew's will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Golden Warrriors go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Beaufort Academy (Beaufort, SC).
