Massachusetts High School Baseball - Austin Prep holds off Hamilton-Wenham Regional
April 9, 2019: Reading, MA 01867 Austin Prep Cougars (Reading, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals (South Hamilton, MA), 5-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Austin Prep upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host St. Mary's (Lynn, MA) to battle the Spartans in a Catholic Central - Large test on Wednesday, April 10. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 1-0.
With the defeat, Hamilton-Wenham Regional falls to 0-2 on the season. The Generals host Manchester Essex (Manchester, MA) to battle the Hornets in a Cape Ann - Small test on Saturday, April 13. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 1-0. Manchester Essex won 12-5 in their recent non-league test against Swampscott (Swampscott, MA)
