December 15, 2023: Hartford, SD 57033 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) and the host West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD), saw Groton's basketball squad overcome West Central by a tally of 45-35.
With the victory, Groton improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD) to confront the Cavaliers in a A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Roncalli won 64-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Centerville Tornadoes (Centerville, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. West Central will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 65-33 non-league win over Avon (Avon, SD).
