Colorado High School Basketball - Stanton County can't hold off Springfield

The Springfield Longhorns basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Stanton County Trojans to 37 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Longhorns now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walsh for a 2A/1A Arkansas Valley contest on Thursday, February 10. Springfield will battle a Eagles team coming off a 67-21 non-league loss to Granada (Granada, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 2-14.

The Trojans (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Goodland (Goodland, KS). The Cowboys enter the non-league contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Goodland nudged Colby (Colby, KS), 60-26, in a non-league contest.
