Illinois High School Basketball - Sterling overwhelms Rochelle
January 30, 2024: Rochelle, IL 61068 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) and the host Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL), saw Sterling's basketball squad wallop Rochelle by a tally of 96-66.
With the victory, Sterling improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Golden Warriors host Alleman (Rock Island, IL) to confront the Pioneers in a Western Big 6 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 3-20. Alleman lost 54-40 in their recent league challenge against Galesburg (Galesburg, IL)
Next up, the Hubs confront the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) in a Interstate Eight challenge, on Friday, February 2. Rochelle will attempt to improve on its 10-17 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 60-45 league win over Morris (Morris, IL).
