South Dakota High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon/Plankinton crushes Kimball
December 12, 2015: Mt. Vernon, SD Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Kimball Kiotes (Kimball, SD), 68-34 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Titans travel to West Central (Hartford, SD) to play the Trojans in a A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, December 15. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-2. West Central lost 89-40 in their recent non-league bout against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD)
Next up, the Kiotes play the Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles (Mitchell, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 17. Kimball will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 48-21 non-league win over Iroquois (Iroquois, SD).
