Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sages confront the Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon (Farmer City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 4. Monticello will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record. The enter the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL).
