Louisiana High School Basketball - South Plaquemines nips Houma Christian
February 9, 2024: Buras, LA 70041 South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Houma Christian Warriors (Houma, LA), 47-41 in a league bout.
With the victory, South Plaquemines upgrades its record to 13-16 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Avondale, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy won 52-38 in their recent non-league bout against Livingston Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA)
Next up, the Warriors play the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 15. Houma Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 21-9 record after their 53-37 league win over Jeanerette (Jeanerette, LA).
