The Oviedo Lions basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting Seminole Seminoles to 73 in the Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Ridge for a 7A District 4 contest on Wednesday, January 21. Oviedo will battle a Knight team coming off a 81-61 non-league win over Tavares (Tavares, FL). The Knight record now stands at 12-4.

The Seminoles (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Spruce Creek (Port Orange, FL). The Hawks come into the 8A District 2 contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Spruce Creek was nudged by Hagerty (Oviedo, FL), 55-49, in a league contest.
