February 2, 2018: Colorado Springs, CO 80911 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) and the visiting Elizabeth Cardinals (Elizabeth, CO), saw Widefield's basketball squad hold off Elizabeth by a count of 54-51.
With the victory, Widefield upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO) to play the Panthers in a 4A Colorado Springs Metro challenge on Monday, February 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Woodland Park lost 60-56 in their recent league challenge against The Classical Academy (Colorado Springs, CO)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 4A Colorado Springs Metro challenge, on Monday, February 5. Elizabeth will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 65-58 league loss to Widefield (Colorado Springs, CO).
