Continental Pirates (Continental, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Central Eagles (Pioneer, OH), 36-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Continental upgrades its record to 2-13 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Columbus Grove (Columbus Grove, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a Putnam County bout on Saturday, February 3. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 7-7.

Next up, the Eagles play the Delta Panthers (Delta, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. North Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 57-46 league loss to Archbold (Archbold, OH).
