North Carolina High School Softball - Starmount bounces Murphy
May 9, 2023: Murphy, NC 28906 Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Rams now sport a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastern Randolph for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. Starmount will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-5.
With the loss, Murphy falls to 12-6 on the campaign.
