Texas High School Basketball - Calvary Academy tops Smyer
December 30, 2022: Denton, TX 76209 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Calvary Academy Lions (Denton, TX) and the visiting Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), saw Calvary Academy's basketball squad knock off Smyer by a tally of 46-33.
With the victory, Calvary Academy improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX) to play the Eagles in a TAPPS 3A District 1 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. Lubbock Christian won 54-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Andrews (Andrews, TX)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Henrietta Bearcats (Henrietta, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Smyer will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 0-15 record after their 65-49 non-league loss to Denver City (Denver City, TX).
