Maryland High School Basketball - North Point nips Parkdale

January 28, 2023: Waldorf, MD 20603

North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Parkdale Panthers (Riverdale, MD), 47-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Point upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD) to play the Raiders in a Southern Maryland bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Leonardtown won 52-43 in their recent league bout against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Parkdale will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Pumas come into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 57-43 league win over Suitland (Forestville, MD).
