September 22, 2023: Celina, TN 38551 In Friday's non-league game, the Clay County Bulldogs (Celina, TN) football team were victorious over the visiting Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY), by a score of 34-20.
The Bulldogs (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Jo Byrns (Cedar Hill, TN). The Red Devils come into the 1A Region 4 game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Jo Byrns was knocked off by Cheatham County Central (Ashland City, TN), 20-13, in a non-league game.
The Falcons now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Metcalfe County for a 2A District 3 game on Thursday, September 28. Monroe County will meet a Hornets team coming off a 28-27 non-league loss to Casey County (Liberty, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 1-5.
