The Greenville Comets basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds to 26 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sparta for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Greenville will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 49-48 league win over Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-8.
