The New Albany Bulldogs topped the host South Pontotoc Cougars basketball team by a final score of 62-54 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) in a 4A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, January 24. New Albany will attempt to move on its 18-5 season record.

With the defeat, South Pontotoc moves to 19-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Walnut (Walnut, MS) to face the Wildcats in a non-league game on Saturday, January 21. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 6-14. Walnut lost 61-50 in their recent league game against Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS)
