Louisiana High School Basketball - Sulphur overwhelms New Iberia
February 2, 2024: Sulphur, LA 70663 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) and the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), saw Sulphur's basketball squad wallop New Iberia by a tally of 47-25.
With the victory, Sulphur improves its record to 13-16 on the campaign. The Golden Tors travel to Comeaux (Lafayette, LA) to confront the Spartans in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 2-16. Comeaux lost 65-17 in their recent league challenge against Southside (Youngsville, LA)
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. New Iberia will attempt to improve on its 7-17 season record.
