April 28, 2023: Marion, AR 72364 Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Covington Chargers (Covington, TN), 5-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Marion upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Patriots host Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR) to battle the Golden Eagles in a 5A East test on Tuesday, May 2. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 4-1.
With the defeat, Covington falls to 10-6 on the season. The Chargers host Peabody (Trenton, TN) to battle the Golden Tide in a non-league test on Monday, May 1. The Golden Tide come into the test with a record of 21-3. Peabody won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Obion County (Troy, TN)
