Maryland High School Basketball - Johnson holds off Seneca Valley
December 28, 2013: Bethesda, MD 20814 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Johnson Wildcats (Bethesda, MD) and the visiting Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD), saw Johnson's basketball squad hold off Seneca Valley by a tally of 45-39.
With the victory, Johnson improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Whitman (Bethesda, MD) to confront the Vikings in a Montgomery County - 4A South challenge on Friday, January 3. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Whitman won 57-29 in their recent non-league test against Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD)
The Screamin' Eagles now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Northwood for a Montgomery County - 3A/2A test on Friday, January 3. Seneca Valley will encounter a Gladiators squad coming off a 35-29 league win over Einstein (Kensington, MD). The Gladiators record now stands at 1-4.
