Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bluegrass United Bluehawks (Lexington, KY), 87-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Garrard County upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Golden Lions host Lincoln County (Stanford, KY) to play the Patriots in a District 45 bout on Friday, January 27. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 14-3. Lincoln County won 52-42 in their recent non-league bout against Madison Central (Richmond, KY)

Next up, the Bluehawks play the St. Henry Crusaders (Erlanger, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Bluegrass United will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record.
