Ohio High School Basketball - Northwood holds off Genoa Area
February 4, 2011: Northwood, OH 43619 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Northwood Rangers (Northwood, OH) and the visiting Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH), saw Northwood's basketball squad hold off Genoa Area by a score of 50-45.
With the victory, Northwood improves its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Cardinal Stritch (Oregon, OH) to play the Cardinals in a Toledo Area challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Cardinal Stritch won 51-49 in their recent league challenge against Danbury (Lakeside, OH)
Next up, the Comets play the Anthony Wayne Generals (Whitehouse, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 5. Genoa Area will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 50-47 league loss to Maumee (Maumee, OH).
