California High School Basketball - Saugus overwhelms Golden Valley

January 15, 2010: Santa Clarita, CA 91321

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) and the host Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA), saw Saugus's basketball squad trounce Golden Valley by a score of 70-19.

With the victory, Saugus improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Centurions host Canyon (Canyon Country, CA) to battle the Cowboys in a Foothill challenge on Tuesday, January 19. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Canyon won 62-52 in their recent league challenge against Hart (Newhall, CA)

Next up, the Grizzlies meet the Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA) in a Foothill contest, on Tuesday, January 19. Golden Valley will attempt to better on its 0-18 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 9-9 record after their 65-37 non-league loss to Ventura (Ventura, CA).
