North Carolina High School Basketball - South Point knocked off by Crest

January 28, 2022: Belmont, NC 28012

The Crest Chargers basketball team scored 75 points and held the host South Point Red Raiders to 62 in the Chargers league triumph on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Gaston for a 3A Conference 50 contest on Tuesday, February 1. Crest will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 63-42 league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-16.

The Red Raiders (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers enter the 3A Conference 50 contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Kings Mountain ran past Forestview (Gastonia, NC), 84-60, in a league contest.
