Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Screaming Eagle clash with the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a match, on Tuesday, October 5. Ashley will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record.

With the loss, Laney drops to 9-5 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to clash with the Scorpions in a match on Tuesday, September 28.
