Maine High School Soccer - Traip held off by Freeport
September 30, 2023: Freeport, ME 04032 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) and the visiting Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME), saw Freeport's soccer squad get by Traip by a count of 2-1.
The Falcons now hold a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Waynflete for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 3. Freeport will meet a Flyers squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME). The Flyers record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Traip drops to 6-3 on the season. The Rangers host Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME) to meet the Hawks in a Class C - South test on Wednesday, October 4. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 0-9. Sacopee Valley lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Buckfield (Buckfield, ME)
