California High School Basketball - Maranatha topped by Highland
January 18, 2014: Pasadena, CA 91105 The Highland Bulldogs basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Maranatha Minutemen to 59 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cathedral for a non-league contest on Monday, January 20. Highland will battle a Phantoms team coming off a 54-47 league win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart (Montebello, CA). The Phantoms record now stands at 11-1.
The Minutemen (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Village Christian (Sun Valley, CA). The Crusaders come into the Olympic contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Village Christian prevailed over Kickapoo (Springfield, MO), 55-52, in a non-league contest.
