The George Washington Eagles topped the host Halifax County Comets basketball team by a final score of 46-38 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) in a Piedmont game, on Wednesday, January 2. George Washington will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 7-1 record after their 66-53 league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
