Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) and the host Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), saw Copper Basin's baseball squad knock off Hiwassee Dam by a count of 11-7.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 27. Copper Basin will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 2-12 record after their 13-2 league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC).

The Eagles now possess a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robbinsville for a Smoky Mountain 1A battle on Tuesday, April 25. Hiwassee Dam will play a Black Knights squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-10.
