April 8, 2009: Fayetteville, GA 30215 In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA) baseball squad nipped the visiting Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA), by a margin of 8-7.
With the win, Starr's Mill betters its record to 3-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Flanagan (Pembroke Pines, FL) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 10. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 19-2. Flanagan won 10-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
Next, the Bulldogs face the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) in a AAA Concorde bout, on Monday, April 13. Westfield will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Hornets enter the bout with a 2-5 record after their 13-3 non-league loss to Park Vista (Lake Worth, FL).
