Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) and the host Fort Bend Dulles Vikings (Sugar Land, TX), saw Cypress Lakes's basketball squad hold off Fort Bend Dulles by a score of 62-59.

With the victory, Cypress Lakes improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Cypress Creek (Houston, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 17 outing on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 4-11. Cypress Creek lost 64-43 in their recent non-league outing against Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, TX)
