Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC), 79-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Manteo upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Redskins host Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to play the Red Barons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 7. The Red Barons come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Gates County lost 76-55 in their recent non-league bout against Camden County (Camden, NC)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 9. Cape Hatteras will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
