Illinois High School Football - Metamora trounces Canton

In Friday's league match, the host Metamora Redbirds football squad scored a big 54-20 victory over the Canton Little Giants.

In their next game, the Redbirds clash with the Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) in a Mid-Illini match, on Friday, September 30. Metamora will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Dragons enter the match with a 5-0 record after their 14-7 league win over Morton (Morton, IL).

The Little Giants (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles enter the Mid-Illini match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Dunlap routed East Peoria (East Peoria, IL), 49-0, in a league match.
