February 21, 2013: Starke, FL 32091 The Bradford Tornadoes softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Keystone Heights Indians to 2 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Bradford moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Tornadoes host University Christian (Jacksonville, FL) to clash with the Christians in a non-league game on Friday, February 22. The Christians come into the game with a record of 3-4. University Christian lost 6-5 in their recent non-league game against Sandalwood (Jacksonville, FL)
Next up, the Indians meet the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave (Gainesville, FL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, February 26. Keystone Heights will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
Game Summary
After five lead changes in Thursday's game, the Bradford Tornadoes finally pulled out a 5-2 win over Keystone Heights.
The Tornadoes took the lead in the fifth inning and held on for the victory. Bradford went up for good on a two-run home run by Taylor Cruce off Kelsey Waters, bringing home Jordan Davis.
Cruce racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Tornadoes.
