Illinois High School Basketball - Cerro Gordo/Bement fells Hartsburg-Emden
February 10, 2024: Cerro Gordo, IL 61818 Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos (Cerro Gordo, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hartsburg-Emden Stags (Hartsburg, IL), 63-54 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Cerro Gordo/Bement upgrades its record to 13-16 on the season. The Broncos travel to La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 18-8. La Salette Academy won 56-21 in their recent non-league bout against Heritage (Broadlands, IL)
Next up, the Stags clash with the West Prairie Cyclones (Sciota, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Hartsburg-Emden will attempt to upgrade on its 6-21 season record. The Cyclones go into the bout with a 4-23 record after their 60-56 non-league win over Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL).
