The Michigan Center Cardinals basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Hanover-Horton Comets to 34 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reading for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 24. Michigan Center will battle a Rangers team coming off a 56-28 league loss to Jonesville (Jonesville, MI). The Rangers record now stands at 10-9.

The Comets (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Union City (Union City, MI). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Union City was nudged by Homer (Homer, MI), 46-23, in a league contest.
