Louisiana High School Basketball - Barbe can't hold off St. Thomas Aquinas
December 27, 2023: Hammond, LA 70401 The St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Barbe Buccaneers to 46 in the Falcons non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Falcons now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison-Ridgeland Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. St. Thomas Aquinas will battle a Patriots team coming off a 68-47 non-league win over St. John XXIII (Katy, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 19-0.
The Buccaneers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Patterson (Patterson, LA). The Lumberjacks come into the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Patterson edged North Central (Lebeau, LA), 45-40, in a non-league contest.
