The Asheboro Blue Comets baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Jordan-Matthews Jets to 1 in the Blue Comets non-league victory on Friday.

The Blue Comets (4-11) will now prepare for their match against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights go into the Mid-Piedmont 3A match with a 7-5 record. In their last match, North Davidson gained a win over Reagan (Pfafftown, NC), 3-2, in a non-league match.

The Jets (5-7) will now prepare for their match against Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Buccaneers go into the Mid-Carolina 1A/2A match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, Bartlett Yancey gained a win over Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC), 8-5, in a league match.
