Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Stockdale Mustangs (Bakersfield, CA), 59-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Buchanan upgrades its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Centennial (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 2. The Golden Hawks come into the bout with a record of 19-10. Centennial won 71-68 in their recent non-league bout against Bullard (Fresno, CA)
