January 8, 2019: Belhaven, NC 27810 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hobgood Academy Raiders (Hobgood, NC) and the host Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC), saw Hobgood Academy's basketball squad overcome Pungo Christian Academy by a tally of 77-61.
With the victory, Hobgood Academy improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC) to confront the Colts in a NCISAA Tarheel challenge on Friday, January 11. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Albemarle School won 82-51 in their recent league challenge against Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC) in a NCISAA Tarheel challenge, on Friday, January 11. Pungo Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 60-33 non-league win over Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC).
