Wisconsin High School Basketball - Luther Prep nips Columbus
December 14, 2023: Columbus, WI 53925 Luther Prep Phoenix (Watertown, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, WI), 54-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Luther Prep upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Catholic Central (Burlington, WI) to play the Hilltoppers in a Midwest Classic bout on Saturday, December 16. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Catholic Central lost 50-46 in their recent non-league bout against Shoreland Lutheran (Somers, WI)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Poynette Pumas (Poynette, WI) in a Capitol - North bout, on Thursday, December 21. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Pumas go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 73-41 non-league win over Pardeeville (Pardeeville, WI).
