Virginia High School Football - Christchurch School drops to Blue Ridge
October 17, 2009: St. George, VA 22812 In Saturday's non-league game, the Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) football team knocked off the visiting Christchurch School Seahorses (Christchurch, VA), by a final score of 31-14.
The Barons (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Virginia Episcopal (Lynchburg, VA). The Bishops come into the VISFA Old Dominion game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Virginia Episcopal toppled Covenant (Charlottesville, VA), 40-32, in a non-league game.
The Seahorses now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity Episcopal for a VISFA Old Dominion game on Saturday, October 24. Christchurch School will battle a team coming off a 33-19 non-league loss to Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA). The record now stands at 2-5.
