High Point Wildcats (Sussex, NJ) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Newton Braves (Newton, NJ), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats face the Lenape Valley Patriots (Stanhope, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom challenge, on Thursday, October 5. High Point will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wallkill Valley (Hamburg, NJ).

The Braves now have a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Wallkill Valley for a Northwest Jersey - Freedom challenge on Thursday, October 5. Newton will face a Rangers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ). The Rangers record now stands at 7-3.
