Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Sultan Turks (Sultan, WA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers confront the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Monday, October 7. Nooksack Valley will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Meridian (Bellingham, WA).

The Turks now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granite Falls for a 1A/2A Cascade challenge on Tuesday, October 8.
