Illinois High School Basketball - Brown County nips Macomb
December 27, 2023: Mt. Sterling, IL 62353 Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Macomb Bombers (Macomb, IL), 46-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Hornets travel to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 15-2. Illini Bluffs won 48-37 in their recent non-league bout against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL)
Next up, the Bombers play the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans (Hamilton, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Macomb will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 68-49 non-league loss to Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL).
