In Friday's league match, the host Rison Wildcats football squad scored a close 15-14 victory over the Junction City Dragons.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Harmony Grove Hornets (Camden, AR) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 18. Rison will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 26-13 non-league win over Prescott (Prescott, AR).

The Dragons (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Haynesville (Haynesville, LA). The Golden Tornado enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Haynesville was nudged by Union Parish (Farmerville, LA), 27-26, in a non-league match.
